How to make slow cooker steak dinner (video)

Who knew that you could cook an entire steak dinner in a slow cooker? Yes, that's right! The recipe below is so easy that even you beginners out there can make it with no problems. This healthy and delicious dinner includes sweet potatoes and corn on the cob, making a complete meal. Only 10 minutes of easy prep, and you're ready to set it and forget it!
Worcestershire sauce, onions, garlic and fresh thyme work as aromatics, turning your slow cooker into a little pot of wonderful flavors and aromas. A little beef broth and butter add moisture so that your steak stays juicy and tender. In five to eight hours, you're ready to serve this wonderful steak dinner!

2 pounds top sirloin steaks, ¾ inch thick
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 medium onion, large diced
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup beef broth
2 sprigs fresh thyme
1 large sweet potato, peeled, cut into quarters
4 ears of corn, cleaned, each cut in half
2 tablespoons finely chopped parsely
Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, onion, butter, beef broth and thyme to a 6-quart slow cooker.
Season steak with salt and pepper. Add to slow cooker.
Place potatoes and corn on top of beef.
Cover and cook on high for 5 hours, or on low for 8 hours.
Serve all together, using the cooking liquid as a sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Pro tip: Sear each steak in a hot pan with oil until brown on both sides before placing in the slow cooker. Add a cup of steak sauce to the sauce in the slow cooker to get an extra kick of flavor.
